Marketing Policy

This policy governs marketing and promotional activities by ONEbasket (ONEshop Experience AB) and its authorized partners, affiliates, or influencers toward users or prospective users of ONEbasket. It applies to all marketing communications (email, push/in-app, SMS, social media, partner promotions, etc.).

It should be read in conjunction with ONEbasket’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Purpose & Scope

This policy sets out how ONEbasket communicates marketing messages and ensures that such communications are legal, transparent, respectful, and aligned with user preferences and data privacy requirements.

2. Legal Bases & Consent

  • Core service communications (e.g., account notices, system updates) are based on the contract/service relationship.

  • Marketing communications beyond the core service (e.g., promotional offers, partner recommendations, newsletters, ads) require either:

    • Explicit consent from the user, or

    • Legitimate interest, provided that the user’s rights and interests are not overridden and users can easily object.

  • Processing additional or sensitive data beyond what is strictly necessary requires explicit consent.

  • Users can withdraw consent or object to marketing at any time (opt-out), easily and free of charge.

3. Transparency, Disclosure & Labeling

  • All marketing messages are clearly labeled as advertising or promotional content.

  • If content is produced with partners, affiliates, or influencers, the relationship is clearly disclosed (e.g., #ad, “sponsored by,” or “in collaboration with ONEbasket”).

  • Disclosures are clear and unambiguous, so users always understand the source and purpose of marketing.

4. Use of Personal Data & Personalization

  • Only personal data that is necessary and proportionate is used for marketing.

  • Behavioral or usage data may be used for product recommendations, offers, or targeting, within the limits described in the Privacy Policy.

  • Users can choose to disable personalized marketing if they prefer.

5. Frequency, User Preferences & Respecting Opt-Outs

  • Respect user preferences regarding how often, through which channels, and what types of marketing they wish to receive.

  • Provide an easy, clear opt-out or unsubscribe method in all marketing messages.

  • Once a user opts out of a marketing channel, it is honored promptly and permanently (unless the user reconsents).

  • Avoid sending promotional messages too frequently or in a way that annoys or pressures users.

6. Partner / Affiliate / Influencer Marketing

  • Collaboration agreements with third parties must enforce compliance with this marketing policy, the TOS, and Privacy Policy.

  • Partners, affiliates, and influencers may only access or use the personal data necessary for their role and must process it under the same privacy standards.

  • Influencers or affiliates must clearly label or disclose that content is marketing or sponsored by ONEbasket.

  • ONEbasket retains the right to review and approve marketing content from partners before publication to ensure compliance.

7. Recordkeeping & Evidence

  • Maintain records of user consents (when given, in what form, and what was consented to).

  • Maintain documentation supporting marketing claims (e.g., savings, benefits) for verification.

  • Track when users opt out or object to ensure preferences are enforced.

8. Monitoring, Auditing & Enforcement

  • Conduct regular audits of marketing campaigns, partner campaigns, and promotional content to ensure compliance.

  • Correct any non-compliance immediately (e.g., remove or revise content and notify affected users).

  • Repeated or serious violations may lead to suspension of marketing privileges for the team or termination of partner agreements.

9. Retention & Deletion of Marketing Data

  • Marketing-related profiles, tracking data, segmentation data, etc., are retained only as long as necessary, usually no more than one year after account termination, unless legal requirements or legitimate interests justify longer retention.

  • Upon account deletion or request, marketing data is purged or anonymized, unless law or legitimate interest requires retention.

10. Policy Updates & User Notification

  • This marketing policy may be updated from time to time.

  • Significant changes are communicated to users (e.g., via email or in-app notice).

  • Continued use of ONEbasket after updates implies acceptance of the revised policy.

  • Users always have the option to withdraw consent or delete their account if they do not accept changes.
